To come up with Centre for Public Health
Just when the focus of health systems across the world has shifted to Covid 19 and how to deal with pandemic situations, Vadodara based Navrachana University Vadodara has entered into an important and formal collaboration with the World-famous University of Arizona, USA to set up a Centre for Public Health.
Both the Universities entered into the formal collaboration last week according to officials at the Navrachana University , Vadodara.
The development according to them would enhance academics and research in the health sector and related issues.
Navrachana University Provost Dr Nilay Yajnik while giving information about this important tie up said, “We had been in discussion with the University of Arizona for the past few months. Both the Universities exchanged their ideas and thoughts on the collaboration in the very important area of Public Health. We are quite upbeat about this collaboration and we are confident that researchers , Faculty and students of both Universities will come up with innovative solutions in the field of public health.
According to Dr Yajnik, Public Health is an extremely important area, especially in today’s scenario. “It is a matter of great pride for Navrachana University that this collaboration is with the University of Arizona which is a top tier University.”
The Centre will focus on joint research, publications, short term and long-term courses according to Dr Yajnik. “Apart from that, seminars and conferences, Faculty and students exchange would also take place between the two Universities. This will be a highly interdisciplinary Centre and will be very relevant to the needs of the society.”
