FIVE YEAR BBA-LLB INTEGRATED COURSE

The School of Business & Law offers 5 year integrated BBA-LLB program approved by Bar Council Of India and has been designed as per their guidelines. This law program has a flexible curriculum offering several options in different areas of specialization. It is devised keeping in mind the requirements of legal profession and corporate sector.

The program offered at the School of Business and Law incorporate a number of special opportunities such as moot court, internships, clinical program, research and writing. In order to promote interaction between students and legal professionals, seminars, guest lectures and workshops are conducted on various subjects of law at regular intervals. In addition to the mandatory courses spanning across a ten semester program, we are developing a vibrant mooting and debating culture, with several students already having participated in state and national level competitions and bagged by winner and runner up positions.

The School has well-equipped infrastructure and entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The students have access to library facilities, both offline and online database. The library consist of good in number of Management and Law books, Bare Acts, AIR Journals & Manuals, Journals in specialized areas of law. It has also subscribed online resources such as Manupatra, EBSCO etc.

The program is conducted through a mix of teaching methods to ensure effective learning among the participants. Pedagogy includes:

  • Classroom lectures by well qualified and experienced faculty.
  • Mix of conventional and innovative methods for teaching-learning.
  • Emphasis on case studies, judgement analysis, presentations, problem solving methods and research forming a part of continuous evaluation process.
  • Moot court training, conduction of Intra-moot court activities and guidance for participation in the National & International Moot court competitions.

  • Guidance and encouragement for participation in various competitions such as legal drafting, client counselling, judgement writing, debates etc.
  • Court Room Exercises that emphasis on research, in depth analysis of precedents and oration so as to familiarize students with the court room atmosphere and give them practical exposure to ‘Law in practice’.

  • Regular workshops, guest lectures by distinguished lawyers in litigation as well as corporate & lawyers from various law firms, companies on diversified legal & business issues of contemporary significance.

Legal Connect

  • Students from 1st and 2nd year BBA-LLB program will undergo Social and Corporate internship.
  • Students from 3rd, 4th and 5th year BBA-LLB program are required to undergo internship with the law firms involved in litigation and other paralegal plus corporate services.

ELIGIBILITY AND SELECTION PROCESS:

  • Higher Secondary School Certification or Intermediate Exam (10+2) or its equivalent exams with minimum 45%. An additional 5% relaxation for candidates belongs to SC/ST category.
  • Be or be less than twenty years in case of general category of applicants and less than twenty two years in the case of applicants from SC, ST and other backward communities as on May 15, 2020.
  • Candidates with one subject compartment in HSC will be given provisional admission subject to passing the qualifying exam and meeting NUV admission criteria.
  • Moot court training, conduction of Intra-moot court activities and guidance for participation in the National & International Moot court competitions.
  • In addition, Conduct Certificate and School leaving certificates are mandatory.
  • Candidates must have qualified in any one of the entrance examinations: CLAT, LSAT or Written Aptitude Test (WAT) and Personal Interview.
  • Final admission will be subject to the merit list prepared based on scores of CLAT, LSAT or WAT and PI.

Scholarship

25 merit-cum-means Scholarships are available to entering BBA/BBA-LLB students who have scored 70% and above in Class XII exams and their parents combined income does not exceed 6 lacs rupees per year. Interested candidates must come with filled in admissions forms and parents’ IT returns (2017-18 and 2018-19) to the University at the time of seeking admission.
