Teaching and Accomplishments

Priya Mistry has five years of experience out of which four years is in Developmental field. Her interest areas include Social Case Work, Community Organization, Labour Welfare and Management of NGOs. She has been teaching various core subjects to Post Graduate students of Social work. Apart from this she also has experience of teaching Introduction to Social Work to Inter-disciplinary students. Before joining academics, she handled various assignments related to Development and Research in Education and Development sector.

She joined Navrachana University in September 2016 as an Academic associate.

Education

  • Priya Mistry did her LL.B (Special) from The Faculty of Law, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. She completed her PGDLP from the same university and then went on to do Masters in Social Work from the Faculty of Social Work, M.S. University, Baroda.

Her dissertation work

  • A study on difficulties faced by mothers of deaf and mute children.
  • A study on work life balance among working women of the faculty of family and community sciences.
  • A study on emotions experienced by adolescents during their teen age.
